In-House Service Technician

Supreme Security Systems, a Union, NJ alarm company is looking for a Full-Time In-House Technician from 8:30am-5:00pm Monday through Friday to speak to customers regarding their needs or requests for service and review service calls technically before they are dispatched. Essential functions include assisting customers and alleviating some issues that may not require an on- site Technician, handling 10/8 calls from Technicians, researching service history of scheduled calls and advising Technicians of issues and/or parts that may be required, and backup Downloader.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Five years hands-on industry experience as a Service Technician.
Knowledge of basic electronics and fire systems.
Ability to read schematic, equipment instructions and wiring procedures.
Ability to use hand tools, volt/ohm/multi-meter.
Ability to interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly.
NJ Fire and Burglar licenses helpful, but not required.
NICET certification helpful, but not required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
